I have used Anderson windows for 30 years. I will Never. Buy another one. We had a patio door with the internal shades installed in February, on the 25th, 2026. It was a 5k$ door- which of course included the install. I was hesitant to buy a patio door with the shades on the inside, because what happens when they break? They have a good warranty. So I bought it. On March 26th, was raising up the shade with the slider and it broke. Not only broke the slider, but the track it was on is also coming off. I called the warranty number, was on the phone with them for 45 minutes /. They accessed my phone, they had me take measurements, they had me go inside and outside to see the door. The part is covered. However to have a technician come out to evaluate the door.. Four HUNDRED dollars. I said no. And I will no longer buy Anderson. Nor will I recommend Anderson. If you are looking for a patio door, do not buy the one with the shades on the inside.

Anderson Windows failed in both installation, customer service and communication. We began our project in October with dates to install in November. When installation day came they installed a door with a crack and then failed to order a window. This meant I had a gaping hole in what would be my back door throughout winter. It was covered by plywood meaning I only had my front door for nearly 2 months the. Once the door was properly installed they failed to install a keyed-lock. Now I have access to 2 exits but could not enter through my back door since the only way to lock it was from the inside. The lock took another 3 months and this meant I went without a functioning back door for nearly 6 months. Then once installed they put in the wrong trim meaning another rescheduled date which also meant another day I had to either take off work or beg my boss to work from home. Anderson agreed to compensate me $1500 for the inconvenience which is laughable. I was told I would receive this within 2 weeks on April 23rd. Today, when I didn’t receive it I contacted Anderson and they said they hadn’t processed it until May 5th and it would be another 2-4 weeks to receive the check. I regret going with Anderson. They have been difficult from start to finish. For a nearly $60,000 contract, $1500 compensation does not reflect the inconvenience they have caused. Do NOT go with Anderson Windows.

We had some Anderson Big Pocket exterior doors installed on our custom new build home. We called Anderson to help us regarding some technical issues we were running into and their customer service was very very exceptional. No outsourcing to a call center and they actually sent the territorial sales manager to our home to look at things and help us understand what was going on. Thanks to Kevin Gittings and his extensive knowledge of the product we are able to work towards a resolution with having the doors corrected. Andersen is absoultely a top notch company and I would never hesitate to use them again.

I am so disappointed with my experience with Andersen windows. What was supposed to be a September delivery date became a November and December delivery date. Andersen never communicated with us on what delays could occur given certain changes to the finishes, in fact Andersen windows didn't communicate with me once about why things are the way they are during the entire process. The only time I spoke to Andersen was when reps came to my site asking me how great they are doing. Not only was the delivery delayed to November, but we even had more missing parts that delayed more installations to mid December. Mind you we are building up in the Rocky Mountains. We had to cover our rough openings with plastic to fight off the elements. Unprofessionalism at it's finest with communication. Not a single care. This experience will make me think twice about who I use for my next project.
