About this business
The Sporting Joint is a health practitioner based in Derby, Derbyshire. In their own words: “Guy has worked as a physiotherapist since graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2006. The majority of his early career was spent moving up the ranks in the Derby County Football Club where he eventually reached the 1st Team Assistant Physiotherapist position. He then moved on to be Head Physio at Burton Albion Football Club for a time, until family commitments led him to splitting his time between working at our clinic and as part-time lead musculoskeletal physiotherapist within an orthopaedic triage service based in Derby. Clinically, he has interests in acupuncture, manual therapy and myofascial release techniques. Rebecca utilises a wide range of treatments and incorporates these into her sessions, which include dry needling, soft tissue release, taping, joint mobilisations and strength and conditioning. Rebecca also has certification in mat pilates and has completed her 200-hour Yoga teacher training qualification. Having in depth knowledge in these areas, Rebecca fuses these into rehabilitation with her patients. Alice is our enigmatic podiatrist!
