I had a frustrating experience with Shred-it due to poor pricing transparency and disorganized communication. I was quoted $175 for a single bin shred, but the final bill included an extra $66 in fuel, recycling, and environmental fees. These charges were not clearly disclosed upfront—in fact, the signed agreement only vaguely referenced them as “per table at www.shredit.com,” forcing customers to dig through an inefficient website to figure out the real cost. That’s misleading and unnecessarily frustrating. Given this experience, it’s not surprising to see other customers leaving 1-star reviews. Scheduling was also unclear and poorly communicated. I had to repeatedly follow up with Christopher Reed, the “Inside Sales Representative,” just to get basic information. It felt like pulling teeth to get a straight answer. The driver was professional and courteous, which I appreciated, but that was the only positive. Everything else felt impersonal, with decisions handled at the corporate level instead of locally. That lack of accountability and personal touch really shows. I won’t be using this service again.

Update - Just found the container our driver, Vinnie, was supposed to pickup. He went out of his way to put it back inside our building instead of on his truck & charged us for a "non pickup" Original Review: Driver was in bad mood for today’s pickup upon arrival & very unprofessional. Shouted at me after I refused to sign something agreeing to pay for a “non pickup” because I couldn't find labels (driver normally prints necessary labels upon arrival). He then proceeded to wander throughout our facility for ~45 more minutes disrupting other staff members looking for a supervisor because "I argued with him" instead of just providing basic customer service/ troubleshooting. He ended up taking our waste after I found the labels, but the overall experience was very unprofessional & slightly scary. Most unprofessional customer service that I’ve ever received from a vendor - was very close to contacting our campus security team.

I have been a customer of Stericycle since August of 2022. The first year I had no issues with drivers or pick ups. In July of 2023, they took a nosedive off a cliff and service has been absolutely atrocious. I’ve had multiple missed pick ups, the most recent being the past 2 months. I requested a cancellation of my account because it was happening so frequently and outside of business hours. I was contacted by someone higher up in the company, Rich Sizelove, in December asking me to give the company one more chance in January. They missed yet again, and I contacted Rich to push my cancellation through with no penalty to me. He ignored me for 11 straight days, and any communication from him (or lack thereof) has been completely unprofessional. I’ve been treated as if I’m the problem for being upset that they didn’t do their job and missed 2 months in a row. Anytime I’ve had to call into the customer line, nothing is resolved. Their solution is to give me a reference number with a “promise” that someone will call with a resolution. I’ve never had to deal with such a terrible company before. Do yourselves a favor and find a different medical waste carrier. And if you’re an unfortunate customer like I was, keep notes of everything.

Sharia is always a pleasure to see, comes in with a great attitude. Good energy. Greets everyone, while staying efficient and waste no time getting her job done. We have 37 OR'S she cycles thru in a timely manner and never complains about the work load. Although I personally think it's a lot to cover for one individual she makes it look easy. She has her system down and executes it well.

The most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. We schedule appointments for them to pick up our bio waste and they just don't show up. They bill for dates that they were not at our facility and when you call them to ask why they didn't show up they don't have a clue. I asked one of their driver's how they dispose of the bloody bio waste we give them and he said they throw the bio waste into their dumpster. Unbelievable!! Now they will give they automated response thanking me for bringing this to their attention when they don't give a crap about their customer service. Look elsewhere.
