As a mortgage professional, this is the first time I’ve ever felt the need to write a negative review about a title company, but I also feel a responsibility to share my experience. Working with Yvette Gort and her team was extremely challenging. Communication was poor, responses were delayed, and there was little to no accountability throughout the process. Despite making every effort to stay proactive and keep things moving, I had to follow up repeatedly for months just to get basic updates. When we did reach out for assistance or updates, Yvette often came across as frustrated, was at times rude, and showed very little empathy for the situation—even when the issues were caused by their own lack of organization and resulted in costly mistakes for the clients. Unfortunately, this lack of organization led to delays on two separate closings. In one situation, we even had to fund the loan, request a refund, and close again because the required documents were not provided on time for funding approval. After closing, the issues continued. There were delays in disbursing funds, which put my client’s insurance at risk of cancellation. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience for both myself and my clients. If you’re looking for a smooth, professional, and efficient closing process, I would strongly recommend considering other options.

Greenberg Traurig is unfortunately the title agency used by the developer of the Standard Midtown. I have done quite few closing in my life on real estate properties. As a buyer, I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism. Between the emails they don’t answer and they actually don’t read because they asked questions that were already answered in the same chain of emails, the fact that they do not pick up calls and the misleading information provided within the very rare communication from them, I have never experienced such a nightmare of a closing.

We had three different closings for condos in downtown Miami. I’d be giving only one star to this place if it weren’t for Ben Babcock. His commitment, responsiveness, and professionalism were outstanding. He consistently went the extra mile for us, solved communication problems we had with the firm, and overall made sure all three closings came together smoothly for us.

This review corroborates the numerous negative accounts regarding the lack of professionalism demonstrated by this law firm. More than one week has passed since the closing of our property, and we have yet to receive copies of our fully executed closing documents. Multiple written follow-ups were sent to Trisha Villegas, Ivette Gort, Daniella Reyes, and Stefany Almeida. Despite these efforts, no meaningful response or resolution has been provided. The firm’s failure to release property keys and deliver executed documents within a reasonable timeframe reflects a concerning lack of diligence and client communication. For a firm entrusted with real estate closings, such deficiencies are unacceptable. Additionally, this business is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Based on our experience, prospective clients are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative representation.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt an obligation to share this experience for future clients. Across three transactions involving multiple clients, Greenberg Traurig’s closing services were consistently disorganized, unresponsive, and unprofessional. Two out of three transactions involved financed buyers, yet the paralegals failed to provide requested documentation needed to process mortgage approvals in a timely manner. At the same time, there were repeated threats of late fees and constant references to the contracts being “cash,” creating the clear impression that financing clients were treated as secondary and that potential financing denials were inconsequential. Communication was extremely poor. Emails and calls often went unanswered for over 8 days, and key closing communications were mishandled or sent to the wrong parties. The only staff who were genuinely helpful were two of the three receptionists, who actively tried to bridge the communication gap when assigned staff were unresponsive. Even post-closing, my compensation was an absolute nightmare to track. There was zero communication on whether payment was sent via wire or check, and I had to personally investigate to locate the post-closing representative just to obtain basic information. After 11 years in Miami real estate, this was one of the most frustrating closing experiences I’ve encountered.
