I stayed at Pyramids Bat in Nazlet as Samman, Egypt with the host Moe. He has several unit in the same building. Beware of airbnb and there listing as they are not accurate. Although the pictures of his unit seamed nice and his reviews are good the area is totally unsafe as well there is safety issue inside the building and no AC in one of the room. Airbnb was aware of the host changing his listing area concern and Airbnb is letting the host non refundable policy stay to remain. Airbnb has offered me a $200 credit towards another stay in the future but will never go with them again. They were not helpful and are not even in holding their own policy regarding safety and inaccurate listing. Do yourself a favor and rent with a hotel or look at other platform and look at the platform reviews prior . See bellow the picture the the area including the elevator with no door. I do have a video of the elevator unfortunetly Airbnb was not able to open the video, how convenient of them. DO NOT USE AIRBNB AS IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE THEY ARE NOT THERE FOR YOU AND CLOSE YOURE ISSUE ON YOU EBEN IF YOU ASK TO MOVE THIS FURTHER THEY WONT GO HIGHER THEN A SUPERVISOR AND ITS ALEAYS THE SAME THEING THEY SAY SO YOU KNOW THEY ARE READING WHAT THEY CAN SAY. What godawful customer support. They do nothing for you and do not deserve their cut as they do not protect the consumer at all. Here are the issues we had below and they wouldn't provide any support or resolution and just continued to bounce us around customer support constantly. We still haven't received a refund and still haven't had the listing removed so beware Airbnb and their deceptive policies that aren't enforced. Here is the summary of issues from our stay Below is the list I sent Airbnb this was the worst stay I've ever experienced and their support was a joke and just an ai response about how sorry they were. Don't stay here this was truly the worst stay ever. The first issue was the fruit flies, they were there when we arrived. We contacted the host immediately upon check in and the issue was not dealt with. We received AI responses and an actual individual never responded until after I contacted you, airbnb support. During our conversation you said I was entitled to a refund, however it could not be issued till the problem was resolved and at the end of the stay it would be calculated. The fruit fly problem was never resolved. We could not use the kitchen or dinning room or living room as they were one space with fruit flies throughout. Since the issues were not addressed, after the first day we could no longer use two of the bedrooms and the bathroom as the fruit flies had continued into those rooms. 2) On top of that there were two devices inside the home with cameras. They were both echo shows. Those items go direct against Airbnb policy and are not allowed. Airbnb support should have stepped in immediately at that point. However you did not. “You can also use the built-in camera of the Echo Show itself as a remote home monitor.” - Amazon listing of this device. It made us incredibly uncomfortable that one device was in the kitchen and one device was facing the master bedroom bed. We unplugged this immediately, but this listing should be suspended for this issue alone. 3) On top if this, there was a major safety issue as the smoke detector was entirely missing from the kitchen/living room. Also against safety code violation. The host was informed for this and never even attempted to correct this issue. 4) Finally the last straw was the water dripping from the light fixture in the hallway leading to three of the bedrooms and two bathrooms. Again the host was alert and did absolutely nothing. The ceiling was beginning to cave, as well as anyone of the four children or four adults in the home could have been electrocuted if they turned on the hallway light. A host should have immediately sent someone to repair this and our stay should have been completely canceled at this point but since the host was AI and not a real individual this was not dealt with.

AirBnB seems to have given up on supporting their hosts! Today they removed a review from my recent guest. I called and asked why and they said "because AirBnB is an authority". I asked for the reason of removal and they said it violated review policy. I asked what did it violate... And they said "AirBnB is an authority and has the right to remove reviews.' You can't get much worse than that! They are claiming they reserve the right to remove reviews with no ability to dispute it, and no review process.... Just an automated one (they denied the review at the exact moment it was submitted). We will be moving all our guests to VRBO and staying away from this company that does not support its hosts!

Steer clear of Airbnb and stay with large hotel brands. While on a European vacation this past month, I had to spend $1480 more than originally booked due to multiple Airbnb issues. I had booked an apartment unit for four people for 4 nights in Paris a year in advance for $1140. The original unit was broken into the day of our arrival and after inspecting the kicked in door making the apartment not lockable, an open skylight with rain coming in, and a side door propped open in the lobby, we reported all of this to the host and they recommended a refund. My wife and daughters did not feel safe in that building so we started looking for last minute hotels or other Airbnb‘s that were still available. Hotels were significantly more expensive so we found a comparable, well-rates Airbnb that was about $500 more than the original Airbnb reservation and booked It. Upon arriving to that location and after receiving the check-in instructions, the host told us that the reservation shouldn’t have been made as they apparently requested their property be removed from Airbnb. They said that it was booked by another party on a different platform and was no longer available for us. Since Airbnb had proven unreliable, we then had to frantically search for hotels that had 2 rooms available across 4 nights and ultimately spent $1400 more over 4 nights than the original Airbnb reservation. There was a lot of back-and-forth required to get my refunds for both properties on Airbnb platform. The second property was refunded after a day without issue. The first property only partially refunded us and after multiple attempts from Airbnb to offer vouchers and excuses that the remaining amount was government taxes and commissions, they offered to refund the full amount. However, they said I had to set myself up as a host and would receive the money via that method. Realizing that this refund would come in as taxable income, I again asked just to refund it to my credit card and ultimately they did. Very shady and it shouldn’t be this difficult to get a refund when it’s their issue. We ultimately had to spend over $1400 more for the last minute hotel stay. My advice, though after traveling for 30 years almost every week and staying in large Marriott, Starwood, and Hilton properties is to always stay with a large hotel, Brandon book well in advance as if there is an issue, they will absolutely find a solution as opposed to the Airbnb joke. I attempted multiple times to report this through the Better Business Bureau to request some compensation for the additional amount I had to spend, and I consistently received the same message back from Airbnb apologizing for the inconvenience. Airbnb is an untrustworthy company that does not support its hosts. I had solid evidence proving that the guest violated the rules and uploaded it for the company to review. However, they completely ignored it and deducted our money, even though the guest was clearly in the wrong.
