Superior Aluminum Products
About this business
Based in Russiaville, Indiana, Superior Aluminum Products is a local fencing business and has been operating since 1956. In their own words: “Superior Aluminum Products had its origins in Youngstown, Ohio, where it commenced operations with a small workforce, primarily focusing on the production of aluminum storm windows and screens. With the rising popularity of aluminum railings as a more favorable alternative to wrought iron and wood, Superior introduced the Series 600 aluminum residential railing line. As the demand for these railings grew, Superior strategically transitioned away from the window market. In 1966, Superior Aluminum was acquired by Tom Francis and Ed Borchers, who relocated the company to a 15,000 square foot facility in Russia, Ohio. Owing to continuous innovation and expansion, Superior s facility needed to be expanded in 1985 and once again in 1996, when the groundbreaking for a brand new 100,000 square foot facility took place, capable of accommodating all manufacturing, sales, and support staff.” Their work covers Aluminum railing, Fencing, Columns, Gates, Prefabricated architectural structures, Aluminum Fence, Aluminum Columns and Technical Information. Truckers, no gate so you can come early if you need to. Very friendly team here. Hand loading and strapping things in, so expect to invest a little time here to let them do their thing. I'd come here again. Arrived and in dock 7 before 7am to begin loading on Aug 5, 2025. I-75 exit 74, take 41 north to Covington. T/R at the light and go straight through town a few miles then T/L onto Russia-Versailles Rd. Takes you straight to Superior Aluminum Products. T/R after the building, between the employee parking spaces to the Shipping and Receiving area. A++

We have been using Superior Aluminum Products for many years and have always been very happy with the service and especially the products. As a residential and commercial fence/railing contractor with more than 70 years in business, there is nothing better than the Superior Aluminum Products railing. From standard options to customized builds they handle it all and make us look great! Highly recommend.

I work in the Mobile Home industry in San Jose, California. Trying to acquire a specific part locally with no success, I ventured beyond our boundaries with high hopes. I reached out to a number of business by email during my search. Most replied with a generic response quoting parts prices, shipping costs and additional fees for this or that. Some didn’t bother to get back to me at all. And then suddenly…the clouds parted…the Angels started singing…and I found Superior Aluminum Products in Russia, Ohio. Dustin Schemmel replied almost immediately to my inquiry asking for additional information and specifics to the part I was looking for. After providing the info that he requested and explaining my difficulty in obtaining these parts closer to home, he got back to me the same day with several options. He went over the cost per part verses the value of excess order capacity, while explaining how the overall measurement and weight of the parts affect the shipping fees and freight limitations. He was very generous with his information, providing several scenarios that could possibly fit my needs, and at no time did I feel pressured to make a purchase. Dustin was kind and respectful, going above and beyond with no expectation of financial gain. Superior Aluminum Products is a Role Model of what Exceptional Customer Service should look like in every company.
