I purchased a Sta-Rite 5P2R D-1 pool pump from one of their distributors back in July 2022 as my existing (same type) pump was looking to be after 8 years of use on its way out. The old pump lasted until the end of the 2022 season and was replaced with the brand new pump in May 2023 when the swimming season started. All good and then when we started the pool up again in May 24 the pump started squealing like a pig. Just 6 months of actual use...... I had gotten the old pump refurbished and swapped the two over and sent "little miss piggy" back to the online supplier who then sent it back to Certikin. It always pays to have a spare pool pump..... 3 weeks later Certikin came back to the online supplier and I quote.... "You have recently returned a SR075N Sta Rite pump to us as faulty. It has been inspected by our engineer and he has give the following report: The seals have leaked which has then caused damage to the shaft seal. The pump is beyond repair. The seals are warrantied by the manufacturer for 90 days. This pump was purchased in July 2022. As this is not a warranty failure and the pump cannot be repaired we will dispose of it on 13/06/24 unless we are advised otherwise." So for a pump that's been in service for no more than 6 months is a total write off ? Am I annoyed about this ? Yes, but as a fairly big organisation, Certikin seem not to care about their 1 step removed customers. But stuff like this catches up with them eventually as people do read reviews about suppliers who sell a pump for £680.00 with no expectation of it lasting more than 90 days..... Would you buy from this company with a UK warranty of 90 days on their pool pumps which are designed for swimming pools but amazingly have no confidence in their product lasting more than 3 months ? Getting a new pool ? Maybe choose a supplier with a better warranty than Certikin..... Worth thinking about before you part with your cash....... ####### UPDATE ####### Mid June 2024 ####### Certikin who are also the distributor for the American pump manufacturer have messaged the online supplier that a new pump should be sent to me free of charge. Good outcome and I'm happy to report that they did the right thing. It pays to challenge manufacturers, but you need to do it respectfully and not aggressively to get the best outcome. Hats off to Certikin customer services for responding to my complaint and getting the US manufacturer to look at the claim more sympathetically.

Huge thank you to all the staff who helped me today in my hour of need. So late in the day, you didn't hesitate to help; you rescued an upcoming bank holiday weekend party for my customer. I have now got the heating back up and running. It's not about the problem, it's about how you resolve the issue. I can't thank you enough. A well-organized team, and it was only a small order, but you helped all the same. Happy account holder and customer.

Amazing Company - Extremely knowledge and helpful Staff. Darren in the technical department couldn't have been more helpful. Awesome company. Experts in their field and everyone knows Certikin products are very high quality.
