The salesman was actually pretty helpful. However, after we'd agreed to go ahead that's when the problems started to arise. Surveyor appointment booking was fine, turned up on time. However, they made a mistake. It took weeks for Anglian to get back to me after repeated attempts to get them to confirm the designs and notes they'd written were incorrect and needed updating. Installation date was organised easily enough but I was already a little apprehensive at this point and just hoped that there were no further issues with the installation etc as I was not hopeful that this company would actually resolve anything if there was. Installation day came. The scaffolders Anglian had arranged (Next Level Scaffolding East Ltd.) didn't turn up on the day before when they should have. Darren phoned to say the team were still coming and would be doing overtime and would arrive at around 5pm - nothing. They arrived about 7:30am the following day, the same day that Anglian were supposed to install our new roof-trim, gutters and facia. The fitters themselves turned up around 8am, noticed the scaffolding wasn't up and so said they'd be back the next day - fine. Scaffolding didn't quite get fully complete on the original install day and so they had to finish off the following day whilst the fitters were here. All was ok. The fitters completed their work on the 8th May. All looked ok. They tidied up a little but left rubbish in gutters and on our conservatory roof. They could have done a better job there. I was told scaffolding would be removed on the following Monday (11th May). 11th May comes round. No sign of scaffolders. It wasn't until that Friday (15th May) that I checked the inspection tag they left on the scaffolding to find the phone number and details of the scaffolding company to ask them what was going on. I spoke to Anglian who said they would chase this but heard no response. Darren at Next Level Scaffolding East Ltd. said that they would be over on the Wednesday morning to remove the scaffolding. Bear in mind, the scaffolding had been up for 10 consecutive days at this point without inspection - which is illegal. Wednesday arrives. The scaffolders turn up at around 12:40pm. They start removing the scaffolding without communication. At around 3pm I noticed they had started leaving the scaffolding in piles on our front garden. I asked them whether this was going to be taken away today and they said they were leaving it there to take back the following morning. This was completely unacceptable. Not only had they abused using my property as a storage area for over 1 week (illegally) they then took it upon themselves to find a part of my garden to leave their materials for the night. Why they didn't bring enough trucks to take the scaffolding away in the first place is beyond me. They were confrontational and Darren, the owner of the company, unprofessional. Darren even went as far as suggested they put it back up again if leaving it in pieces on the garden wasn't acceptable - to say the least his team shot that idea down pretty quickly! It was laughable... It was clear they were not going to take it away that day and so I agreed to let them leave it there for one night (ONLY). They should be back tomorrow to collect it all but we'll see if they turn up. All along, I have kept Anglian in the loop but hear NOTHING. No support. Even though they are technically liable as the scaffolding contract was arranged by them. To make matters worse, now that the scaffolding was removed and we could see out of our windows onto our conservatory roof, we have found that a block of wood has fallen from the scaffolding and pieced the roof causing a whole around the size of a penny. I have contacted Anglian about this but expect a long, hard fight to get them to even acknowledge this and perform a repair/replacement of the roof panel... PLEASE TAKE HEED OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON HERE! To save likely stress and additional expense avoid this company at all costs! Similarly avoid Next Level Scaffolding East (based in Norwich)!

Beware of aggressive sales tactics, illusion of choice, and artificial price drops I am leaving this review to warn other homeowners about the high-pressure sales tactics and pricing games we recently experienced when getting a quote for 6 windows. We ultimately walked away, and here is exactly why: 1. The Illusion of Choice When we first enquired, we discovered we had to choose between seeing a rep from Anglian OR Everest. They are now owned by the same parent company, meaning you cannot get independent quotes from both to compare them. 2. The "Today Only" Hard Sell The initial sales rep who visited our house tried to push a 15% discount, but only if we signed the contract that exact same day. I refused the hard sell, pointing out that if they can afford to do that price today, they can do it tomorrow. 3. The Artificial Price Drops (£9.5k down to £4.5k) The initial quote for 6 windows was an inflated £9,500. This quickly dropped to £6,500 during the visit. Two days later, I received a phone call from someone claiming to be a "Regional Manager," who dropped the price again to £4,500, claiming they needed to "keep manufacturing capacity high." 4. Misleading Titles and Claims When the "Regional Manager" followed up via email, his signature revealed he was actually just a Sales Manager. Furthermore, the original rep claimed that absolutely all of their installers work directly for Anglian and no sub-contractors are used, which is highly questionable for a national firm of this size. 5. The Post-Survey Contract Trap This was the biggest red flag. I asked for it in writing that a full refund would be given if we decided to cancel after the technical survey. The rep refused to put this in an email, verbally brushing it off by saying "it is already covered in the contract." Upon reading the contract terms, cancellation clauses post-survey confirmed Anglian retaining 20% of the total contract cost. If they will not put a promise in writing, do not trust it. If you are dealing with this company, stand your ground, do not fall for the "sign today" discounts, and read the cancellation terms regarding the survey very carefully. We chose to walk away and look for an honest, local independent installer instead.

The worst ever ! Simple job of changing windows handles turn into months of miss communication! I was served by Corrine, clearly not interested in making sure right products are ordered and engineer is informed. SIMPLE JOB! How can company this size claim they are National Best when they provide such a poor service? I have nor received an apology or explanation. How can they be trusted with a bigger job or changing windows!

Poor Product / Poor Communication We have never had such a poor experience with any company as we have had with Anglian Home Improvements. Poorly made product, awful customer service and a complete lack of communication. A continuous catalogue of errors and poor service from the beginning. Purchased a composite front door in March 2023 - Door scratched on installation / Attempt to 'buff out' the scratch resulting in the wood grain effect of the door dulling and ruining the finish / Letterbox leaking ruining the flooring behind the front door / Letterbox 're-sealed' using silicone which was smeared around the letterbox/over the surrounding area and looked awful / Letterbox corroded / 4 attempts to replace the letterbox (wrong letterbox ordered 3 times so more visits needed) / handle tightened due to being loose / door tightened due to draught / front door replacements being returned due to them being damaged on delivery (undamaged door finally fitted on the 4th attempt, but we are worried in case we have issues with this door also). We have spent hours making phone calls, reporting issues & chasing the company to find out what is going as we have not been kept informed, emails have been ignored, promised responses have not been received, our flooring has been ruined, 14 unpaid days have been needed off work to accommodate engineer visits to assess/replace/adjust (between 8am-5pm), in total over 2yrs 4months of continuously chasing the company for answers/updates, ongoing stress, worry and inconvenience for us with no offer of a goodwill gesture or compensation for the ruined flooring or time taken off work due to their poorly made product and company errors/issues even after raising a formal complaint and it being rejected. An absolutely awful experience, we will never use this company again and advise others to look elsewhere.

This company should be taken out of the market. I’ve got MS and live in social housing and told the sales rep this who pushed me into paying a deposit and then tried pressuring me to open my email and sign the contract. He got aggressive and was scowling when I told him to leave my house. I. Informed them of this and they said I wanted to have my refund returned. Instead of doing that they insisted on harassing me and trying to get me to sign a contract for a lesser price bullying me , it has to be signed that day. I signed it and then cancelled it 5 days later which is within their 7 day cancellation period. I had never signed a contract before that with them and they lied to me saying I signed a contract on another day. Called trading standards and they said I have to write a letter of claim and take them to court. Absolute low life . Vile people. Don’t ever use them. Who preys on disabled people.? Anglian Windows.
