I've had the pleasure of working with both Daniel S. and Cam C. from Gowling. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Their communication has always been articulate but also to the point, no two word answers that leave you guessing what exactly they're trying to say. They've also always been extremely quick to respond any time I have a question, which is exceedingly rare these days. If I could give 6 stars I would.

The billing is out of control. You just get a big fat bill at the end. And then Gowlings starts to litigate against their own customers. Make sure you stay on top of that. Escalate the issue to law society asap when you notice. Make sure you defend bills hard. This firm has very bad reputation for aggressive billing. The management here is pushing lawyers hard to get billable hrs sky high. This firm does not believe in delivering results; the main focus is to squeeze dollars especially from unsuspecting smaller businesses and startup type of operations..

Hi and Good Morning to all Staff and Lawyers!! I had the pleasure of speaking with an attourney from this firm before it merged with Smith Lyons many years ago. I am impressed that this person is so attuned to the law. Congrats to a fine lawyer who represents the firm well. Keep up the great work!! A 5 star rating to the receptionist.

Despicable. I'd like to think that even a lawyer has a shred of decency would exercise some sort of more judgement over the companies whose money they're willing to take. But not Gowling. They have been vigorously defending Ontario Energy Group (OEG) against the claims of hapless homeowners. It's sad really that a firm of this stature would do this.
