Three stars Good - fast, punctual, professional, good chat functionality, good communication Bad - quotes are always overpriced. Was charged $820 for investigation and report but for this price I would expect a more detailed report. What was provided was just a list of steps on what was done, but no actual conclusions/tests performed Was quoted $6.2k to fix leak. Competitors offered half the price. I’ve used service today in the past but unfortunately won’t be using them going forward due to very expensive quoting. Happy to may little more for workmanship and speed but not double what others are quoting.

Update: I had a pleasant conversation with their Customer Care Manager and they provided an apology as well as following up on the incident. They also offered to refund the $49 which should have never been charged. I accept the refund and the follow up shows that Service Today cares about how their customers feel. This is very positive and I’m glad that it was followed up. Summary of the original review: “I asked Service Today to give me a quote about a leak from the roof of a two-story townhouse. They arrived here and said we need to “hire a ladder” to investigate so we can give you a quote and you should pay for it. At first I thought they were joking, but they were serious and even emailed me the invoice for the ladder and then said that I needed to pay $1000 just so they go and investigate and then give me quote about the repairs. (Photos and screenshots all uploaded) I told the guys that considering the process, lack of proper equipment and astronomical price of only “investigating” the issue, I was certain I didn’t want to work with them. They said you still have to pay the quote charge of $49. I refused to pay and advised that I wanted to complain, as I did not get a quote and therefore I should not pay for something I did not get. They talked to their manager and he called me while his team were there, the manager denied that they needed to “hire a ladder” but had no idea that I already had received the invoice from his team charging me $263.77 for the ladder (see screenshot). I explained to the manager that I had booked online and put it in writing that the job is on the roof of two-story townhouse, you cannot come here and say you need to hire wrenches, screwdrivers or ladders. These are your must-have tools. You cannot charge me for hiring tools. And I simply told him that I don’t want to waste more of my time, I’ll pay the $49 fee for a quote that I didn’t receive. Then I asked another local plumber to who came equipped, charged me $230 for the entire simple leak. Service Today wanted to charge me $1107.84 ONLY to go on the roof and see what’s leaking!”

We've used Service Today for issues relating to leaking internal pipes and unsealed areas of wall and roof. On every occasion, the guys were polite, communicative and efficient. They've gone above and beyond to ensure the work is done to a high standard and to prevent future related issues. Special shout out to Tas who takes such care with his work and completed each part of the job to an incredibly high standard :)

Hi Team, Very pleased with work done today, Josh was meant to come between 12 - 4, called early n arrived within 20min. We spoke at length regarding issue, he adised that there would be an i investigation fee to determine the issue n repairs would cost extra. He went in side the roof and found no water damage, upon investgation ontop of roof he was able to determine issue. He also did further investigating to ensure that the issue was found n recommended promotly what needed to be done. The repair was completed n also recommeded what further work should get done to ensure no further leaks occur again in the future. Thank you again Josh ! Will call you back in next few years to do the work you recomended. Just a note to say that had you not removed a call out fee I may not have gotten the repair done today as there was another repair guy on his way, which I cancelled because of this !!
