Look overall, the experience hasn’t been too bad. I’m definitely still making a good profit even though I’ve upgraded from $150 package to a $380 package a month. The only problem is half the leads are cold and you have to compete with two other trades people so you have to get in really quick. The only reason I’m giving two stars is for general house cleaners and steam cleaners. The average profit margin is decreased too much. 38 points equates to about $38. That’s the average price that I’m paying for a lead. They can then sell that lead to two other people. Its a little bit high for general cleaning. Also theres no cancellation fees once you Book in a job. This gives the clientele too much power and the businesses that are paying the subscription suffer… There needs to be a cancellation fee if the jobs are booked in. Can you imagine locking in 3 jobs and having them all find someone cheaper your out of pocket almost $120 and you’ve got no work! Well, it’s not much I can do. I’m locked in at $380 for 12 months now but I do think that’s something has to be done in terms of the way that certain points are charged for certain occupations. They definitely need to be a culture change here otherwise I probably won’t be back next year.

Been using Hipages since 2008 and love the service. Tradies are quick to call or message with quotes or discussing what's needed after posting, easy to see their profile and ratings and past work. Give New tradies with few ratings a go too; they're pretty good, eager to do good work for a positive review. Used the service for my home, air con install, tree trim, various handyman odd jobs as well as for other places I've lived at over the years. Saved alot of hassle and time fron not having to call one tradie at a time for quotes and avails

I have used hipages at various times when I have needed a tradesman for a particular job and didn't know anyone. I have never been disappointed, as the people who have responded to any of my job requests have been quick to respond, do the work and I get a great result at the best price. Every time!

Stale, unexecuted settlement under $170 is holding up a family residential build. Complete corporate incompetence. I am leaving this review to warn other independent contractors about the absolute administrative nightmare of dealing with this platform. A minor, legacy billing dispute of less than $170—which this platform formally agreed in writing to settle and close back in 2025—is currently holding up a major residential construction line of credit. The facts: The account was canceled following a severe, documented medical injury that left the business owner entirely incapacitated. The platform’s management formally issued a written, pro-rata settlement offer to completely resolve the balance and remove any associated credit listings. This offer was formally accepted in writing. Fast forward to July 2026, and the platform has utterly failed to process their own administrative paperwork. A co-director of the legacy business is now being entirely blocked from drawing down on bank finance to finish building a family home because of this stale, unexecuted default listing. We have spent days actively trying to hand over the cash to their own appointed third-party debt collection agency. The collection agency is ready to take the payment, and we are standing by with a credit card to pay it. However, the platform's internal accounts team is completely ghosting both us and their own collection agents, refusing to issue the standard system approval required to accept the funds and clear the file. Formal regulatory complaints are being escalated, but it shouldn't require a government intervention just to get a tech platform to click an 'approve' button on a tiny, pre-agreed administrative balance.

They are con artists!! Please don’t go with this company! They promise promise and they don’t deliver! My husband sing up with them and their lead are so bad he can never apply to any job. We wanted to end the membership long time ago but my husbands account manager convinced him to stay for six months only. We agreed. It’s been more than six months now and no results! We tried to end the membership again, and one of their representatives was so rude telling us no one forced us to continue with them and now we have to wait for A whole year! They are scam artists! This is not a exclusive platform. Please save your money and don’t let them take your money!
